A Homebody's Guide to Thriving in Winter

For me January is a time to rest and reset, be quiet and hunker down. It’s the only time of the year I don’t feel guilty not getting anything “done”. I make space for my passions that I don’t typically get around to. I spend more time reading than scrolling. I maximize coziness like it’s my job. I nourish my body and my soul.
This year I did something I’ve never done before — I created a space for my creative meanderings. While I don’t have ‘a room of one’s own’ like my girl Virginia Woolf, I commandeered my dining table and turned it into my desk/studio. I spread out my books and projects and made it feel even more special with a candle and fresh flowers (as a side note: I discovered the perfect vase that elevates even the lowliest of winter blooms).
